Scandic Fauske

The staff honored my request for a quiet room (near the end of a hallway and not overlooking a street). It was quiet at night, though there were a few loud guests in the hallway about 7:30 a.m. I didn't hear any noise through the walls, only the door to the hall. The hotel had free parking nearby. The hotel is near the water where there is a boardwalk. There is shopping (including groceries) nearby. There were dark curtains on the window to keep the summer light out at night. The breakfast was good, though there were no pancakes or waffles. (We didn't eat dinner there, but they apparently have a buffet, at least in the summer.)

Location near the fjord and walkable distance from restaurants and shops. Amazing breakfast, really good and lots of options. Convenient on our way driving north.

I got upgraded for free because there weren’t many guests. The room was very nice with a great view, and breakfast was very good.

staff was extraordinary. everyone was so solicitous and polite and went out of their way to make us feel at home.
